ZACH WILLIAMS AND THE REFORMATION DELIVER ROCKING DEBUT Arkansas Band Brings to Mind ‘70’s Southern Rock Pioneers Jonesboro, AR—Back in the ‘70’s, the music world was literally rocked by a bunch of great bands from the South—groundbreaking acts like the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Molly Hatchet. Bands like this were spawned from a combination of Southern roots and from rock powerhouses such as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and Joe Cocker. And now, thirty or so years later, a group of young rockers from the hills of Northeast Arkansas look and sound like they stepped off of a bus that’s been in time travel since 1975. That band is Zach Williams and The Reformation, with the raucous debut of “Electric Revival” due for release on April 7. Like with other Southern rock bands, ZWR effectively combines rock & roll, R&B, soul and blues, instantly drawing comparison to all of the bands mentioned above and more. Zach Williams, the group’s soulful vocalist and primary songwriter, has channeled the trials and tribulations of everyday life into the writing process. He also grew up watching his dad perform in classic rock bands, and when Zach received a ’67 Gibson Blue Ridge Custom from his dad as a gift, a proverbial torch had been passed. Williams put a band together in 2008 from some other young but veteran players from the local scene, and the result was almost magical. ZWR recorded some tracks at Young Avenue Studios in nearby Memphis, Tennessee, and proceeded to start gigging to record crowds almost as fast as the band was put together. With their stunning debut album, ZWR hopes to tour nationally and continue to spread their own take on classic Southern rock to the masses.

The GDU does the Hammond & horn thing in a way that references the sixties, but is at the same time thoroughly modern. With the blues at the root, the sound fuses jazz, rhythm ‘n’ blues, garage, northern soul, rock, funk and punk. Live Drayton shows are renowned for their energy, excitement and unpredictability - nothing’s ruled out in the GDU repertoire; as Gene always maintains, You Can’t Sit Still. The legendary Lemmy Kilmister once said about Motörhead: ‘Even if you hate us, we’re still unique.’ The same goes for Hellsonics, because their crossbreed of punk, metal and psychobilly stands alone. To prove the point, just let ‘Demon Queen’ blast through all the watts you got. The purist nitpickers back off in disbelief to their old ways, while reckless fanatics praise this record as a bold dose of unorthodox rock & roll.

The four Hellsonics used to slam in the Antwerp hardcore/metal scene, before they joined forces in 2002 to start a totally different unit. An exploring alliance, embracing all their individual styles. Upright bass player Johnny Crash slaps the psycho vibe in, deep and creeping as well as on dragster speed. Mean Krapula is a rhythmic sadist to his drums, tight like a headbanger on a sledgehammer groove. Brain Detzer’s guitar has a punk attitude from the doomdays of Discharge, but can also aim reverb on a wave of Danzig.


Singer Killie D. was on the airwaves during her ten year run as host of Shock Report, the hardest radio show in Belgium at the time. She’s been vibrant in live bands since 1989, yet with the rise of Hellsonics her haunting voice reaches beyond former boundaries. Moreover a mesmerizing frontwoman glorifying a wicked charm, luring many drifters to the scorching sound of Hellsonics.

Subhumans are an English punk band formed in the Trowbridge and Melksham area of Wiltshire in 1980.[1] Dick Lucas joined later in the year, having formerly been in another local band, The Mental. Other members had been in The Stupid Humans. The band's musical style is typically classified as hardcore punk or anarcho-punk.

The InCiters are a nine piece soul band from San Francisco, that revives the Northern Soul sound of the sixties. Their fast uptempo, horn driven songs with rich harmonic vocal ar-rangements are provided by a four piece horn section and four vocalists (1 male, 3 female) that take turn doing leads, which adds a lot of variety to their sound.

Meanwhile they have gone through their share of line-up changes, but feel that the current li-ne-up is the strongest yet and is there for the long haul now. They have a strong 60's and scooterist following, and have a great cross over potential. After all, everybody likes soul. The InCiters have toured up and down the west coast of America and toured from Chicago to the east coast and up into Canada. They have played with bands such as The Skatalites, The Selecter, Hepcat, Supergrass, Royal Crown Review, Desmond Dekker, and The Com-mitments, along with many more. They even had Motown legend, Brenda Holloway get on stage and sing "Just Look What You've Done" with them one night in L.A. Recently, The InCiters were given an award in San Francisco for "best soul band", a task not easily won coming from an area full of great Soul/R-n-B acts.

They have three longplayers out, along with a couple of singles spread throughout the world. And they have signed Grover/Elmo Records in Europe for all the albums. In 2002 they have been touring the old continent to promote their latest release 'Well, Well, Well...' which has been recorded at the Signet in Hollywood, the former and legendary Motown Studio.

Their ability to enthuse the real Northern Soul fan as well as any music loving person makes The Inciters a great live act. Their love for the rhythms and the harmonies of the 6Ts they turn their inside out: Soul!
 

Le Chat Noir are hard-rockin' Transatlantic desperadoes Teddy Hesper and Eileen Spruce. The band formed in the winter of 2006, shortly after Spruce moved to England from her native Los Angeles.

Since then the duo have hit the European gigging circuit hard and never taken their foot off the accelerator, performing close ...to 300 gigs in 8 different countries, their full throttle live performances leaving stages soaked with sweat and blood and littered with broken drumsticks.

Along the way, Teddy and Eileen have shared a stage with acts such as Motorhead, UFO, Saxon (Bulldog Bash, Warwickshire, UK, 2009), Nick Oliveri of Queens Of The Stone Age (Muziekgieterij, Maastricht, NL 2009) The Sonics, MC5, The Dwarves, Wanda Jackson, The Bellrays (Sjock Festival, Gierle, BE, 2008), The Datsuns (Rock Wauberg, Wauberg, BE, 2009), The Gories, The Oblivians (Blast Off!, Nottingham, UK 2009), Nine Black Alps (Centre Spot, Exeter, UK 2009), She Keeps Bees (Cavern, Exeter, UK 2009) and The Kids (Nonsense Festival, Peer, BE, 2008).

Le Chat Noir have recorded and released three albums through Garage Sale Records. Lyrically, the albums are a thematic trilogy of gritty tales based in a fictional setting that is part lawless Wild West, part shadowy film noir - featuring stories about femme fatales, hard liquor, murder and dark intrigue. Debut album Tales From Silver City was voted Playmusic Magazine’s Best Unsigned Recording of 2006 and quickly sold out; 2007's Deadwood is also close to being sold out, whilst a third studio album, Postcards From The Dark Highway, was released in May 2009.

John Lundström wier geboren oep de 6en october 1919 in 't Schipperskwartier, wor a' z'n vader een ziêmanscafé uitbaatte. Z'nen achternaam ad 'em van z'n groêtvader, ne Zweedse ziêman diê z'neigen in Aentwaerpen ad gevestigd.

In de jare '30 veruisden et gezin Lundström nor et Kiel, mor et ziêmansleve zou een vast thema wörren in de muziek van John Lundström. Buite zanger was 'em oêk animator van kindere, docent in de sociale school, overtuigd socialist en lid van d'Aentwaerpse Snorreclub, wor at 'em et Snorrelieke vör componeerde. John Lundström stierf oep de 25e juli 1990 in Maerksem.

Verwacht bij dit genre geen diepzinnige teksten of ‘doe-eens-uw-lief-binnen-momenten’; de enige emo die je hier vindt is de liefde voor st...amnummer één, bier en een welgeplaatst eerbetoon aan een punkicoon. Bier, voetbal en rock-’n-roll, meer moet dat (soms) niet zijn!

The Delegators. They are a 5 piece band that plays a sweet mixture of Reggae, Rocksteady, and Soul. Their lead singer Janet Kumah has a beautiful tone. You can hear the strong influences from Motown in their music and the vibe is infectious.

On their myspace page they describe their sound as "if The Supremes moved to Kingston via South London". What a combination! If you're a fan of The Impalers, The Agrrolites, or Red Soul Community you will love this great group from the U.K.

The Oppressed is a Welsh anti-fascist Oi! band that was formed in 1981 in Cardiff. Most of the musicians in the band's various lineups were skinheads. Throughout the band's career, the members (especially vocalist Roddy Moreno) openly expressed opposition to racism and fascism — in their lyrics, interviews, on-stage comments and other actions. In 1989, Moreno visited New York City and met many members of Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP). On his return to the United Kingdom, he started promoting SHARP ideals to British skinheads.^{[1] [2]} The band has also had ties to other anti-racist groups, such as Anti-Fascist Action. Moreno is a Cardiff City F.C. supporter, and some of the band's songs express that support.
